- 2 days
- Private tour
- English, Spanish

Overview
Licancabur is the volcano that defines the skyline of San Pedro de Atacama: a near-perfect cone rising to 5,916 metres, with a small crater lake near the summit that is one of the highest in the world. The two-day expedition includes an acclimatisation day and a summit attempt that begins before dawn. The route crosses the Bolivia side of the mountain (permits required) through high-altitude desert and loose volcanic scree. The summit rewards you with a view that takes in the Salar de Atacama, the altiplanic lagoons, and the Bolivian altiplano. This is a serious mountaineering experience: demanding, exposed, and unforgettable.
