Volcán Pili / Acamarachi
🧭 Trip Overview

Hotel pickup
Volcán Pili, also known as Acamarachi, rises to 6,046 metres south of San Pedro de Atacama. It is one of the tallest peaks in the region and one of the least climbed. The two-day expedition crosses remote altiplano terrain, with a camp at altitude and a summit attempt on the second day. The mountain is technically straightforward but physically demanding: the altitude and the exposure make it a true high-altitude experience. From the summit, the view extends across the Salar de Atacama, the neighbouring volcanic peaks, and the dry immensity of the Puna de Atacama. This is for experienced trekkers who are well acclimatised and looking for something beyond the usual.
